# Liftoff

> Liftoff is a hiring and networking platform that helps people find an incredible fit, through people they trust. It combines AI and human insight so the right people and opportunities find each other faster, with less noise and more warmth.

Liftoff is an alternative to traditional professional networks. Instead of public feeds and random connection requests, people build a private network of the people they know best and help each other find great work and great teammates. Liftoff is not a job board, a recruiting agency, or a matchmaking service. Opportunities move through trusted relationships.

People use Liftoff in three ways, often at the same time:

- **Connecting:** Build a private roster of the most talented people you know. Receive role searches from your network and from Liftoff's, suggest people who could be a fit, reshare with others, or discreetly share someone you'd recommend. These connections grow into relationships with the people who are hiring.
- **Hiring:** Hiring managers create a search for a role, add a Match Incentive, and get a shareable link to collect suggestions from their network. Searches can travel to 2nd- and 3rd-degree connections, and can be boosted to Top Connectors in the Liftoff network. Hiring teams request intros directly and make hires faster, at a fraction of the cost of traditional approaches.
- **Looking for what's next:** People can quietly signal the kind of opportunity they're interested in so their network can help connect them, without broadcasting it publicly.

Top Connectors are leaders from companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Notion, Clay, and Granola who have built teams at hypergrowth companies and bring their networks onto Liftoff. Fast-growing teams such as Ramp, Loom, and Substack have hired through Liftoff.
